On Windows

  1. Click on the Windows Start button in the lower-left corner of your screen or keyboard.
  2. Type scan to search for your scanning program. Click on its name to start it.
    • If you're using the Windows Fax and Scan program:
      1. Click on the Scan button in the panel on the left, if not already chosen.
      2. Click on the New Scan button in the toolbar.
      3. Click on the Scan button. Setting the DPI to 200 is recommended.
      4. Click on the Save As button in the toolbar.
    • If you're instead using the program that came with your scanner, follow its instructions. Then save the scan to a file on your computer. Try to save to your Desktop so you can easily find the file later.
  3. Upload your design at Rapid Resizer. Your file may be in your Scanned Documents, Documents, or Desktop folders.

On Mac

  1. Hold down ⌘ and press the spacebar.
  2. Type image capture and press enter.
  3. Select your scanner from the list on the left. (If your scanner doesn't appear, read this.)
  4. An option near the bottom left (or on the right, midway down, if you have details shown) of the Image Capture window shows where the scan will be saved. Choosing Pictures or Desktop will make it easier to find your file.
  5. Click the Scan button. It's near the lower right corner of the Image Capture window. Setting the DPI to 200 is recommended.
  6. Upload your design at Rapid Resizer.
