If your design's tilted or skewed, fix that first. From the page where you can enter your design's size, click the Customize button.

If the lines are distorted in the resizing, do you have the Lines option (at the bottom left of the page where you enter your design's size) set to smooth or custom width? That feature only works well with certain desgins. If it's making the lines worse, set it back to unchanged.
